Data policy
Where Cadastra's land data comes from, how it is kept current, and what we will never do with it.
Last updated 21 September 2026
Sources
- Village and administrative boundaries — Survey of India-consistent state boundary sets, nationwide.
- Parcels, RTC / ownership, mutations — state land-record portals, loaded statewide as each state comes online.
- Registered deeds — state registration departments, decoded into parties, consideration and dates.
- Context layers — water, transit, built-up area, land-use and infrastructure from public geospatial datasets.
Freshness
Each dataset carries the date it was captured from its source. Counts on the home page are live figures from our geo platform; a state’s coverage page shows its last refresh. Records are never edited by hand — corrections come from re-capturing the source.
What we don’t do
- Sell or license the raw data to third parties.
- Build profiles of individuals across parcels for any purpose other than a customer’s own diligence inside their workspace.
- Mix one customer’s records into another’s workspace.
Corrections and takedown
If a record about you is wrong, the fix belongs at the source authority; we will point you to it and re-capture once corrected. Requests about personal data in the service follow our privacy policy.
